Please review our resort policies before agreeing when booking a cottage.
All prices in Canadian dollars and are subject to 13% HST.
Please note that all prices are in Canadian dollars and are subject to 13% HST. A 50% deposit will be applied to the credit card provided for your reservation and upon reservation.
We only accept reservations through Visa or Mastercard. No debit cards or cash accepted. All bookings require a valid credit card and the renter must be 25 years or older.
The final balance (with tax) will be charged to the credit card on file approximately one week prior to arrival date.
If a cancellation is made and acknowledged 4 weeks or less from the check-in date then no refund is provided. If a cancellation is made and acknowledged over 4 weeks from the check-in date then a full refund is allowed, but a $75.00 (CAD) administrative fee will be held.
Cancellations must be made by e-mail and acknowledged by Barry's Bay Cottages. A reservation is a firm contract and no allowance can be made for weather, late arrival, early departures, or short term cancellation regardless of reason.

Summer high season is June 25 - September 6
Summer high season is a minimum 7 night booking. All cottages are open in the summer months.
High holiday season December 18 - January 3
Holiday high season is a minimum of 3 night booking. Cottages 6, 7, 8, 9, 11, 12, 14, and 16 are winterized.
Low season is all other dates
Low season is a minimum 2 night booking. Cottages 6, 7, 8, 9, 11, 12, 14, and 16 are winterized.
Yes, or fall through spring, or our low season, rentals have a 2 night minimum.
In the summer or high season, cottages rent by the week. A week is 7 nights.
On holidays or during the December Holiday Season (December 20-January 1) there is a 3 night minimum.
Our minimums allow for ample time and flexibility to manage cleaning our cottages to impeccable standards. We appreciate your understanding that we cannot accommodate stays that do not abide by these lengths.
2 bedroom rates are based on 4 people occupancy and 3 bedroom based on 6 people occupancy. Maximum occupancy cannot be exceeded. This includes daytime visitors.
Due to fire code and our sensitive septic systems, which can be compromised with too many people, we are not able to accommodate more than the occupancy amounts per cottage and we really appreciate your understanding.
Check in time is 4pm, check out time is 10AM, unless otherwise noted or discussed via email. For early check in or late check out, please make a note on your reservation or contact us directly via email.
A minimum $150 cleaning or damage surcharge will be applied if the cottage and the area around the cottage is not left in the same state as check in. This includes not washing and putting away the dishes and/or taking your garbage and recyclables to the garbage/recycling shed on property.
Smoking and vaping is not permitted inside any buildings. Please help keep the property clean and use the ash trays provided when smoking outside.
A minimum $300 cleaning surcharge will be applied if buildings are found to be smoked or vaped in. Cigarette butts discarded around the cottage grounds will be subject to a $150 cleaning fee.
Yes! Pets are allowed at designated cottages only: Blue Jay (#2); Gray Wolf (#5), Cotton Tail (#7), Red Fox (#9) & White-tail (#12) and must be registered when reservations are made. We have the right to refuse all requests. Please do not show up with pets that are not registered to your reservation.
Our pet fee is $25/night.
We ask that you respect the following resort policies regarding pets:
- Pets must be leashed at all times when outside
- Pets are not to be left unattended inside or outside of the cottages
- A pet access to the lake is found between cottage 7 & 8
- Please be a responsible owner and clean up after your pet
If any of the above policies are not followed, a minimum $150 surcharge will be applied. Thank you for helping us keep the resort grounds clean and fun for everyone.
Yes, Barry's Bay Cottage Resort offers motor and fishing boat rentals for anglers in the summer and ice fishing huts and snowshoes for our winter adventurers. Visit our onsite rentals page to learn more about our resort's onsite rental activities and costs. It is strongly encourages to make all activity rentals in advance as we can't guarantee availability. All rentals will be charged to the reservation.
A Pleasure Craft Operators Card is needed to rent a boat. Please note that all boat rentals must be made by a person with a valid Ontario Boating License or Pleasure Craft Operators Card. You can get your boating license online through the Ontario government website and its affiliates. The boat renter must carry their boat license with them at all times when operating a boat. A $500 damage deposit is required to rent.
